Two weeks ago, I asked for an intervention. I never did receive that intervention, although I thank you all for your helpful comments. I did, however, find an enabler.
As I was going through my huge pile of unread magazines, I came across an article shouting the benefits of your daily dose of coffee. Just what I need, another excuse (well 3 more actually).
Your daily cup (or three or four) of coffee or tea could actually be improving your health. Research shows that EMBRACING your habit just might reduce your risk of…
- Endometrial cancer: Women who drank more than four cups (!!!) of coffee or tea each day were 50% less likely to develop endometrial cancer than nondrinkers.
- Stroke: Those who had an average of two to three cups a day were 19% less likely to experience a stroke.
- Muscle pain: Having two or three cups of coffee frist made exercisers feel less sore afterward.
Article can be found in the September 15th edition of Woman’s Day.
So there you have it…my three new excuses for continuing my addiction. I think I just need to kick Starbucks to the curb and suck it up and either make my own (which I found a great iced coffee recipe last night) or just go to WaWa for el cheapo coffee (which isn’t too bad by the way).

This makes me wish that I drank coffee…just never got the taste for it though my Mom always promised me I would! I do like Mocha ice cream though and that Wendy's coffee frosty thing…is that weird?
Thanks for stopping by my site from SITS…thought I'd return the favor and am glad I did! Great blog!
Visiting back at ya from SITS…I read the same article in WD…and was equally filled with glee! Come to think of it I am off to go have cup number 3!!
Enjoy!

Just invest in your own espresso machine and make your own lattes… thats what I did. I was spending waaaay too much at good ole Starbucks!
What a fun blog! Thanks for visiting my site.
I'm drinking a pumpkin spice latte right now. lol seriously I am!
I can honestly say that this is one addiction I don't have. Wait, that sounded horrible like I have lots of addictions or something. Anyway, I HATE the taste of all things coffee. Except Kahlua!
Lol. You just keep drinking your coffee, and I'll keep eating my chocolate.
We have a Keuring, a Starbucks Barista machine, and a Cuisinart Fresh Grind…and I do not even drink coffee. Hub = addict. LOL. But the Barista is amazing for lattes at home! My Mom has one she travels with. See how much money you will save!
I love the new layout. SOrry its been a second since I stoppeed by. I used to work at Starbucks, it's a cinch to make iced coffee! Just make it extra strong so that when you add the ice, it dilutes to the right amount. DOes that make sense? I hope so.
Thanks for stopping by my blog! I also have a Starbucks addiction, but caffeine is not my friend. Had to switch the frappucino for a vivanno smoothie today. It was good, but not the same.
