My Mind Wanders

I am sitting here in the passenger seat as we make the 4 hour journey to Pittsburgh. It’s our annual pre-Christmas with the hubster’s family.

As I sit here willing the GPS estimated time of arrival to move faster, my mind wanders.

Why is the person with their flashers on driving in the middle lane?

Look at that one tree that still has all of it’s leaves.

I can’t believe the baby is still sleeping!

Dear God drive faster!

Why are there so many trucks?

Another tunnel, seriously?

Just imagine that for 4 hours on a continual loop. Over and over. I won’t even get into the things that come out of the 3 year old’s mouth!

But, it’s worth it. Spending time with family is now more than ever important to us. We can’t get these days back.
