Love is All You Need

Sometimes it takes being around someone else’s family to remind you what you have in your own. Last Friday, I had the pleasure of photographing Theresa & Jason’s Friday the 13th wedding. A wedding that almost didn’t happen. Against the odds, a family was brought together that day. And a new family was created.

Their family reminded me so much of my own. Their love for each other was more than evident. Their cup definitely runneth over.

I saw it in a look…

…in a gesture…

…in a quiet moment.

It was there. And everyone knew it. Their love knows no bounds. Everyone is treated like family, even an outsider such as myself. Not once that day did I feel as if I was working. I felt like I was guest, like one of the family.

I took a lot out of that day. Not just a little reminder that this is the type of family that I want to be a part of, but this is the type of family that I hope we have. One that welcomes everyone. One that treasures every moment.

One that loves all.
