Party Planning: Make a Balloon Wreath

I am in the throes of planning Benny’s first birthday party. Yes, his first birthday party! Doesn’t it feel just like yesterday that Jenni announced he was born? This year has flown by!

We are having a Very Hungry Caterpillar party next weekend for him. Naturally, I turned to Pinterest for inspiration {post coming soon} for decoration, food, and invitation ideas. One of the things that I have been wanting to make is a balloon wreath ever since I saw it on How Does She. I finally had the time to gather all the supplies and sit down and make it.

How to Make  a Balloon Wreath

You will need:

  • straw wreath {leave the wrapper on so it doesn’t shed}
  • 2-3 packs of multi-colored balloons
  • pins

Take a pin, stick it in the middle of the balloon, and pin it to the wreath. It’s that easy! Keep pinning in alternate directions until your wreath is full.

I love how it looks on our red door and will be perfect to great guests on Benny’s big day!

I will be sharing all of the things we have planned for his party!
