I am a klutz. I’m clumsy. A bull in a china shop. If there is way to screw something up, I’m on it. After all, this is coming from the girl who is not allowed to use a glue gun.
Yes, a glue gun.
There have been at least two separate occassions where I have glued my finger onto something. And let me tell you, it’s not fun. At all.
Or what about that time I tried to iron wind pants. Yes. I tried to iron plastic pants. PLASTIC PANTS!
But I digress.
When it comes to any home improvement jobs around the house, they are delegated to the hubster. No arguing from me! He’s made built-in bookshelves for our basement. He’s put in laminate floors in both kids’ rooms. He even redid our entire half bathroom.
Last weekend, when I attended Bloggy Boot Camp Philly, I got an awesome gem in my swag bag: a new Waterpik shower head. I think we all squeed at the same time with Tiffany held that sucker up and proclaimed a la Oprah that we were all going home one.
I insisted on installing this bad boy myself. After all, it touts a 5 minute install. Install it in 5 minutes? Surely, I could handle the job. I tore right into that sucker. And tore some more. And more. You practically need the jaws of life to get the shower head out. It honestly took me longer to free it from the packaging then it did to install.
But install, I did!
And guess what? IT WORKS!
And it is glorious! It’s like taking a shower in the rain, except you aren’t naked outside!

OMG, I am the same way when it comes to anything home improvement related. When I told my husband I wanted to install it for my first vlog post he laughed and then installed it when I wasn’t home. It really is like showering in the rain and my neighbors appreciate that I’m not naked outside.
Glad to hear the install is as easy as they claimed. It’s on my to do list this week considering it’s still sitting in a back in the hallway.
I’m usually the built and install person in our house and I’m only mediocre at it – so things that are easy to assemble and install are big selling points!
