This weekend, I am heading to my family’s lake house for my aunt’s annual Fourth of July picnic. Every year, I try to find a cute patriotic themed treat to bring. I’ve done the hamburger cookies, pink lemonade cupcakes, and, last year, I mad the Cookie Oreo Brownie {to die!} . I was thinking of making the Veggie Pizza Flag but that would require cooking there. I just want to show up with something pre-made.
So, I turned to, where else, Pinterest for some Fourth of July treats inspiration. I also asked some of my blogger friends to share their favorites.
First up are these simple Patriotic Strawberries from Lisa at Smart Spending Spot.
I might just be making these for Saturday!
Next, Tina from Sugar Bean Bakers shared this great recipe for a refreshing layered drink perfect for the holiday. {If you’ve never visited Sugar Bean Bakers before, I’m warning you, you might start to lick your screen. Totally droolworthy things over there!}
Kate from Grin and Bake It has a new twist on Rice Krispie Treats. She turned them into Firecrackers. Genius!
Two Peas and Their Pod recently shared this delicious Blueberry, Strawberry, and Jicama Salsa. Sounds like a great combination to me and it looks so pretty!
My list wouldn’t be complete without a cupcake! I love how Christy from the Girl Who Ate Everything incorporated fresh fruit with these vanilla cupcakes. Makes them healthy, right?
Decisions, decisions. If you are headed to a picnic this weekend, what are you bringing?

Yummy Yummy! Can I come spend the 4th with you?!
Love all these ideas—thanks for sharing!!!
I have the same sort of post with some of the same recipes! I love the 4th!A
What can I say?! I love them all. So yummy.
Excellent ideas but the strawberries are genius! Great post.
