Medifast | Week 29
Like every other blogging attending BlogHer 12 next week {NEXT WEEK PEOPLE!}, I am busy shopping my closet and doing some actual shopping to have some cute clothes for the big events. As I was trying on a dress the other, I snapped a picture. Normally, I delete them because I hate how I look but I was shocked. I couldn’t get over how skinny I looked.
I have a waist! And it’s sleeveless. I am planning on wearing a sleeveless dress. That used to happen, um, never.
After I saw myself in that dress {and you better believe I bought it and will be wearing it every chance I have}, I realized just how far I have come since January. I have had my stalls. I have had my strays off course. But I have come a long way. Losing almost 40 pounds is a pretty huge deal! And I know, in my heart, that I would not be where I am if it wasn’t for Medifast.
I tried other programs. I tried “watching what I ate {you know I watched the food go in my mouth}. Nothing worked. I have never been on a successful weight loss journey…until now.
I come across as pretty confident and out-going. But the bigger I got, the more I felt myself retreating into my shell. Avoiding situations because I didn’t have anything to wear or I was worried what people would say about me. Now? Those thoughts don’t even cross my mind. I may worry about what to wear but it’s a totally different worrying. I know I can find something that will look nice. I know I am confident to wear anything.
I am finally becoming the girl I used to be. I’m becoming myself again.
If you are attending BlogHer ’12 and are interested in Medifast, make sure you Tweet me so we can meet up and chat! I might have a bar or two for you to try.
