Summertime has to be the hardest time to diet. Am I right? There are so many temptations: ice cream, water ice, watermelon, yummy desserts. Add vacation in the mix and it’s a recipe for disaster. And it’s hot. Who feels like going to run or do any exercise when is 100 degrees out?
And this is how I got fat in the first place. My rationalizations. The difference between now and then, I know what I’m doing. I acknowledge myself rationalizing my choices.
I wouldn’t say I completely fell off the wagon but if I’m being 100% honest Medifast surely has gone by the wayside. But I haven’t completely forgotten about them. After all, they have helped me lose 37 pounds. I have only about 15 more to go and I know I can do it with them.
Since we’re back from vacation and we have nothing up nothing else coming up, I’m back on track. I can do this. I know I can. 18 pounds is easy peasy especially when you have a program like Medifast to help you.
So what’s my plan? Lots of water, back on the 5 in 1, and start exercising again. Whether it’s back to the Couch to 5 k or just walking around the park with the boys, I have to get out there and do something.

Good luck on your journey! I recently lost 10 lbs and am looking forward to my next 10. Unlike you, I find summer to be the best time to lose weight. With all of the fresh fruits and vegetables available, plus being able to spend time outside it’s always been easier for me than trying to lose in the winter.
Summertime is hard, I was thinking the same exact thing today. I still have a little baby weight that I have never lost. More like, i’m at the same weight but it has moved around! I am starting back on the C25K as well… Maybe once fall comes we will all be motivated to eat better and get some exercise. According to your weight loss list.. you are doing GREAT! I’m proud of you at least :-p
