Snowy and really cold winter days call for some creativity {which I seem to be lacking lately} in keeping the boys occupied. We are going stir crazy not being able to go outside or just to get out in general. After bundling up two kids and then myself, the will to get out of the house is gone! Also? There’s only so much Sesame Street and Curious George one can watch so I was on a mission to find some fun indoor activities that we would all enjoy!
Fun Indoor Activities for Kids
Don’t have any snow outside? Make your own snowman out of a newspapers! I absolutely love this idea. Ethan has been asking to make a snowman as soon as the weather started getting colder. He doesn’t quite understand that you need some snow to do that! Inner Child Fun also has 9 other great indoor activities that look like a lot of fun!

Another activity that I know Ethan would just love is Balloon Tennis! So simple and we have all the supplies on hand already.

I was so happy to stumble on this pin. 35 Crafts to Make with Boys. I don’t why it seems like there are a ton of crafts geared towards girls but not many to boys. I think we’ll try the Ice Experiment. Ethan has been learning color theory at Pre-K so this is right up his alley!

Let’s Explore has a great monthly printable on “Ways to Play.” I recently printed out January’s 10 Ways to Play and hung it on the fridge so we have some ideas at our fingertips.

How have I not done this yet? As a boy mom, you’d think I would have made a masking tape race track by now. I know this will be a hit with both boys!

Have a shredder? Turn the shredded paper into art! I wish we had a shredder. This looks like so much fun and the possibilities are endless.
