Medifast Weight: Loss Week 1

Well, the hard part is over! Week 1 back on Medifast is in the books. And, if I am being honest, it wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be. That’s not to say that there weren’t any temptations or little bites here and there, but I pushed through! It’s just like riding a bike.

I jumped back on Medifast at a great time! They recently introduced some new foods: one being Mac and Cheese! Yes, you read that right. Mac. And. Cheese. I was hesitant to try it. I mean how good could “diet” Macaroni and Cheese be. Well? It’s pretty awesome. It’s not the huge portion that I am used to {which wasn’t healthy to begin with} but it was just enough to give me a taste of something that I love. To bulk it up a bit, I have been dicing up some cherry tomatoes and throwing them in with it. Now, when the boys are shoveling their Mac and Cheese down at lunch time, I can join them instead of glaring at them the entire time.So how did the first week go?

Medifast Weight Loss Stats:

Starting weight: 167.2 lbs. on 1/1/13 {It pains me to write that number!}
Lost Week 1: 4.5 lbs!
Total Lost So Far: 4.5 lbs!

Current Weight: 162.7 lbS on 1/9/13

A 4.5 lb weight loss! What a huge motivator when trying to get through the first week! Not only do I have one week down with Medifast, I am also one week in both the See Ya Latte and New Year, No Excuses challenge! I’m happy to report that I have not purchased any coffee this week! Consider that $10 saved this week.

And before I forget, here’s a before picture. I can’t wait to see my progress!
