I can not believe that tomorrow is February 1st. Where did January go? February is all about two things in this house: my birthday {yay!} and Valentine’s Day. Each yeah, I have Ethan {and now, Ben} make a cute Valentine’s Day craft for their grandparents and auntie. When looking for Valentine’s Day crafts, my motto is ” The Easier, The Better.” With Ben’s short attention span and Ethan wanting to something other than a craft, I have to make them quick!
Easy Valentine’s Day Crafts for Kids
In 2010, Ethan and I made these extremely easy Valentine’s Day cards. I had some leftover pictures of Ethan laying around so I cut the heads out and we made cute stick figure cards! Ethan colored the cards and we glued the heads on the stick figures. To make them a little silly, we added googly eyes onto the pictures. They were a hit!
My friend, Carrie over at Making Lemonade, has another easy photo Valentine’s Card. She used paper that she had laying around the house and let the kids pick out the paper to mach the recipient. They are so cute and could easily be made in an afternoon.

What mom wouldn’t love to get one of these Foam Roses? They are super easy {and don’t break the bank!}. Made out of green pipe cleaners and red foam you could make a dozen roses quickly!

This Secret Message craft combines two things that Ethan loves: painting and something top secret! I can just imagine his excitement when he paints over the heart to reveal the secret message.

These Cupcake Wrapper Lollipop Wrappers are so super cute and easy! I think they will be going in everyone’s treat bag at Pre-K this year. These would also make great birthday party favors.

This is so cool! Who knew celery could make such pretty roses? And what child wouldn’t want to do some painting with food?

Secretly, this is a craft I want to do for myself but I know the boys would love it! Grab some smooth rocks, add some fabric hearts with mod podge and you have Rock Hearts!

I love crafts that use things that are just laying around the house {or in the trash!}. Take a toilet paper or paper towel roll, pinch the top, and you have a heart stamp! Use this to decorate your homemade Valentine’s Day cards.

I love those lollipop flowers! I need to remember those for next year and keep an eye out for cake wrappers on clearance after Valentine’s Day.
I did the heart toilet paper roll stamping last year and it turned out great. The celery reminds me of Melinda’s recent post!
Such cute ideas. Great roundup!
