Not only am I worried about seasonal allergies that comes with spring weather, I also need to worry about sun care. I burn. I burn bad. I have to be vigilant in my sunscreen regime. I need to apply every two hours or else I will be a lobster. Since I am so careful about my skin, you better believe I am super careful when it comes to the kids.
When we are going to be outside, I make sure we all lather on the sun screen before we even step outside the door. When I was asked to be a Coppertone Water MOMS, I jumped at the chance! Coppertone has always been a favorite in our house, especially their Sport line.
For the kids, I have always grabbed the Water Babies. To me, baby sunscreen equals Water Babies. I love that its tear free, and more importantly, fragrance and dye free.
When spending time out in the sun, it’s important to have successful sun strategies. Thankfully, Coppertone has you covered!
Successful Sun Strategies
Be a shade seeker. Duck the sun’s rays the obvious way: Stay in the shade whenever possible!
Perfect your timing. Avoid exposure to the sun when its rays are strongest, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Think beyond the beach. Remember that sun rays bounce off snow, concrete and water, as well as sand. Smart suncare is important in every spot and every season.
Reapply. Reapply. Reapply. Slap on another coat of sunscreen as needed — and be sure to reapply after swimming, perspiring, vigorous activity or toweling off.
Cover all the bases. It’s easy to overlook spots like your ears, neck, shoulders and the back of your neck, but they need sunscreen too. So does your scalp if you have thin or thinning hair.
