Taking My Tax Return to the “ZMax”!

Tax preparation is underway! I have spent the past few weeks gathering receipts and entering information into that spreadsheet that I promised my husband I would keep up to date throughout the year.

Another thing my husband and I take a look at this time of year is ways we can cut our bills. I am ashamed to admit that one of our biggest expenses is our cell phones.  When you’re a blogger and work with social media, you are always on your phone, which means you need a lot of data. And we all know that a lot of data costs a lot of money. We’re talking over $200/month people!

So we started comparing plans to find the best one for us. One that would give me all the data at a price that wouldn’t shock us each month. Enter the Walmart Family Mobile service! At only $29.88/month (for the first line) with Unlimited Talk, Text & Data service plan, which includes up to 500MB of 4G LTE data, we had to check this one out the last time we were at Walmart.

I will admit that I was a bit skeptical of a plan like this. Would I be able to get the phone I wanted? Would I be able to get one of the newest phones out there? Would the service be as good as I am used to? I am happy to report that the answer to all of those questions is yes! I was instantly drawn to the ZTE ZMAX phablet. A phone/tablet hybrid means the screen is big enough for me to work on but still small enough for me to stash away in my purse.

New phone and service plan in hand, it was time to get back to the taxes. And let’s just say when you have a phablet, you can pretty much file your taxes where ever, whenever. Meaning you can get them done quicker putting your rebate in your hands sooner.

Isn’t that the end goal anyway? Getting that rebate? Most years, we put our rebate aside to fix something up in the house. We need new carpets, a new kitchen, and a new bathroom. But this year, those projects are being put on the back burner. We’ve had something else in mind for our rebate this year for a while now.

Yup, the most magical place on earth! The boys are the perfect age to visit Disney World and they’ve been asking to go. It’s not a definite but we are leaning that way!

I have been using my new ZTE ZMAX phablet to help me plan and research our upcoming trip. Comparing airfares and packages and hitting up the Disney blogs to find out about the secrets to make this the best vacation ever. Adding the money we are saving on our cell phone bill every month to our tax return is making vacation planning fun! All of the money related stress is out the window and I can focus on stressing meal plans and transportation

  1. What an awesome way to spend your tax return! We used to always take our return and, after paying off some bills, we’d plan a trip too. So much fun! #client
