Pre-Wash No More with Cascade Platinum
Ok. I will admit it. I am not the best dish washer out there. I drive my husband crazy with how I load the dishwasher. Apparently, there’s a method. I just throw the dirty plates and silverware in, soap, lock it up and run it. Every time he unloads the dishwasher after I ran it, I know it’s coming. The huffing. The sighing. The disappointment.
We always have the argument about whether or not you have to pre-wash the dishes before loading. I say why are you using the dishwasher if you are going to stand there and scrub them before loading. He insists that everything is washed prior to loading.
Well, for once, I’m right! With the new , you DON’T have to pre-wash your dirty dishes before loading them into the dishwasher.
Don’t believe me? Well, I put it to the test this weekend. We invited over friends and family for a Labor Day cookout. What they didn’t know was that we were going to test out the new Cascade Platinum. The night before I whipped up some brownies and let them sit (overnight) in the pan.
The day of the party, I cut them up and showed everyone the dirty pan.
That dirty pan? It went straight into the dishwasher while we were enjoying our Labor Day. When the dishwasher was done, I took it out and I will be honest. I was impressed. Not only was the pan clean, it was sparkling! No spots, not residue, nothing!
works best when food soil is left on the dishes because its special enzymes latch onto that food, breaking it down so it can wash away. If there’s no food soil, there’s nothing for the enzymes to attach to and your detergent isn’t working its hardest for you. Don’t worry about food left on the dishes damaging your pipes or machine. Few people know that there is a garbage disposal built into the bottom of almost all dishwashers – but there is! That disposal works like the disposal in your sink.
Seeing is believing, so here’s the Before and After!

I hate dishwashing – having something that makes it so you can just put them in the dishwasher and go – is great!
