Kid-Approved After-School Snack Ideas

Kid-Approved After School Snacks — When the kids come home from school and they are starving,  these After School Snacks are quick and easy to make and are filled with things they will love to eat!

Having two growing boys, I know that when it comes to after school, I better have the snacks ready! They are starving after they come home from a busy day at school.

While it’s easy to grab a bag of chips or handful of cookies, I like to make sure I have some healthy snacks on hand that are quick and easy to make.

And, now that the boys are getting older, they can make a lot of these snack ideas themselves!

After School Snack Essentials

One of the best ways to make it easier on everyone after school is to have all of the after school snack essentials together! If you have the ingredients in the kitchen, the more likely they will make a quick and healthy snack. If you don’t have these ingredients easily accessible, they will for sure grab chips and cookies!

  • cut up fruit and veggies
  • cheese
  • crackers
  • pretzels
  • popcorn
  • dips: peanut butter, yogurt, hummus, guacamole
  • trail mix
  • milk
  • nuts
  • granola
