Back to School Photo Ideas

Just looking at my Facebook and Instagram stream and I know school is back in session for some! How? Adorable back to school pictures. Last year, I did the standard chalkboard {I found mine at AC Moore for only $1!} with the grade written on it for the first and last day of school. It was great to compare at the end of the year. I am planning on doing the same in 2 weeks when Ethan heads off to Kindergarten to keep things consistent.

But there are a ton of great back to school photo ideas floating out there that I just had to share some of my favorites!  I will probably do a few of these as well.

Garage Door Showoff: I so wish we had a garage door to recreate this photo. I love the negative space to use for the lettering but also it would show off how much your child has grown over the years.  {Via Crap I’ve Made}

Favorite Things: This would also be another great use of a garage door or use the siding of your house. Not only does this work for the First Day of School but would also be good to do on birthdays. {Via That’s So Cuegly}

Sidewalk Chalk: I love sidewalk chalk photos but I am a terrible drawer. Even when it comes to sidewalk chalk. However, I think this is one that I could even get right! {Via Pinterest}

Put a Frame on It: If I had the time {and the creativity}, I would so make this frame for the first day of school. {Via Mom Always Finds Out}
