Next week, E starts pre-school. PRE-SCHOOL. That means, in two years, my baby will be in Kindergarten. But let’s not think about that.
We have been trying to get E used to the idea that when he goes to school, he’s going for leaning. Not just playing with his friends. Since he only goes two days a week, I have been trying to get him on a routine at home. We have been practicing writing our letters, reading theme books, and coloring.
I must say he is really getting into it. He asks for his “workbook” and we do a few pages each morning. I was actually surprised at how much he can do in his workbook. I wasn’t giving the kid enough credit! Currently, we are working on using scissors {eek!}!
This week, we are also doing some back to school clothes shopping. He has really grown over the summer and is in desperate need of new clothes. Thank goodness for outlet shopping! There are a ton of great deals there and he will be ready for fall before we know it.
Here’s to our first official back to school with many, many more to come!
Hey, you stated in a much more direct way what I was trying to communicate, thanks, I will recommend your site to my friends.
