It’s Cookie Time!
Tomorrow is my family’s annual cookie day! I look forward to this day all year long. Everyone gets together and makes Italian Christmas cookies {they are really anise cookies but we only make them for the holidays}. It’s an all day affair that usually ends with a shopping trip to Kohl’s {but then again, what get together with my family never does!}.
My Favorite Things about Cookie Day
1. Um, the cookies, hello! It’s all about the cookies. It’s the only time we make them. And we probably eat half them in one day!
2. My family – We get together often but this is one of the times that we can count on everyone being there. No one ever misses cookie day.
3. The tradition – I love having this family tradition. Last year was E’s first Cookie Day. He had no idea what was going on but we still rolled up his sleeves and let him play in the cookie dough. This year I think he will have a blast!
4. The complaining – The men love to complain the entire time. So much so, we come to expect it. It wouldn’t be Cookie Day without it!
5. Going shopping! Like I mentioned, most get togethers end with us heading to Kohl’s to do a little shopping. It’s the perfect way to end a perfect day.
Do you have a family holiday tradition?
A Family Cookie Day! How fun is that?!
Linked you up!
=) How fun.
Cute picture too.
Happy Cookie Day (belated) and Merry Christmas also!
Love the picture of your little guy, as usual. What a great tradition you have going. Enjoy!
We used to have family cookie day and really enjoyed it. Now my kids are grown and it just does not seem like its worth the effort without them.
What fun! Enjoy the time with your family.
