Blog with Love | your three words

The big weekend is finally here! We {Jenni, Kelly, Steph, and myself} are so excited about the great things we have planned for this weekend.

Before I tell you about the great hotspots we are hitting, I first need to send a huge shout out to Caroline at Visit Philly. Girlfriend hooked us up! Caroline has generously given us VIP passes for the weekend to visit at on of places in the city {and beyond}. This made making our schedule really difficult {but a good thing!}. The passes give us access to over 30 different location in Philadelphia and the surrounding areas.

So what have we decided to do?

Blog with Love officially kicks off today. I have to work {boo hiss!} but Steph has plans to hit some spots today so make sure you follow her adventures on Twitter and on her blog.

We will all meet up tomorrow at the fabulous bed and breakfast we are staying at, Cornerstone Bed and Breakfast.

I can not wait to check in! I find it hard to believe that such a quaint place is right in the city!

After we regroup, it’s off to visit the Mutter Museum. This was one of the first must visits that we put on our list. The Mutter Museum is run by the College of Physicians of Philadelphia and it houses a collection of medicial oddities. I have been there once before and it really is, let’s say, interesting!

Our next stop is Olde City {Liberty Bell, Independence Hall}. Even though I have been to these places a hundred times, I learn something new about our city. Plus, there’s just something special about walking down cobblestone streets.

I think the one thing that I am extremely excited about is stopping for a snack at Franklin Fountain.

I admit I have never heard of them before. And after looking at their menu and watching Man vs. Food clips from there, I hang my head in shame for that. I haven’t even been there yet but I’m telling you now, add this to your list of places to go when visiting the city.

After filling our bellies with ice cream, it’s off to the Philadelphia Magic Gardens. I have never been here and  I have been dying to get down there! Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens is a folk art environment, gallery space, and nonprofit organization that showcases the work of mosaicist Isaiah Zagar. The Magic Gardens includes a fully mosaiced indoor gallery and a massive outdoor labyrinthine mosaic sculpture. The gardens covers half a city block with myriads of tile, texture, and color.

At some point we will squeeze dinner! I’m thinking Crab Fries!

If you aren’t following everyone already {I mean your here so you should be right?}, make sure you do! You don’t want to miss us taking over the City of Brotherly Sisterly Love!
