Boozy Iced Coffee

Summer has come back in full swung here in the Philly area. The temperatures have crept back into the 90s and the humidity hits you in the face like a brick wall. It has gotten to the point where I don’t even want to do anything that requires heat. Cooking? Forget it. I am not standing over a hot stove or heating the house up with the oven. Grilling? I would never make my husband go stand out there with the hot grill. And hot coffee? Nope, not doing it.

It’s a good thing that I made a huge batch of cold brew coffee last month. I have been using my cold brew to make iced coffee at home so I can stay inside in the AC and not have to hit the drive through. The best part about making your own iced coffee? With help of a variety of flavored syrups, cold milk, chocolate, spices and alcohol (yup, you heard me right), you can create a personalized coffee concoction that will hit the spot!

Let’s back on up and talk about this alcohol thing. It should come as no surprise that I would love a boozy iced coffee. And there are definitely a ton of ways you could make those. Check out this list of the best mix-ins to make your own boozy iced coffee!

• Kahlua
• Bailey’s Irish Cream
• Caramel Vodka
• Whipped Cream Vodka
• Coconut Rum

If you are anything like me, you are clueless when it comes to alcohol and what to buy. Sure, now I have a list but I didn’t when I was shopping. So, I grabbed whatever looked good, Adult S’mores: the taste of honey graham crackers, toasted marshmallows and melty chocolate all in one cocktail! Sounds like the perfect addition to an iced coffee to me!

Now that you have your cold brew coffee and your alcohol mix-in of choice, it’s time to assemble your own boozy iced coffee!

Boozy Iced Coffee

Start by pouring your cold brew coffee base over ice (coffee ice cubes work best if you have them). If you don’t know how to make cold brew coffee, check out my step by step instructions.

Next, make yourself an iced coffee to your liking. Add your favorite creamer and sweeten like Sweet’N Low®. By using Sweet’N Low®, you can enjoy the sweetness you love without the extra calories.

Now, add your alcohol of choice. I started with a half and shot since I am a light weight!
