Is there anything that the chocolate chip can’t do? You’ll find him in cookies, brownies, pancakes, trail mix, muffins. The list is endless. You name it, there he is! He’s a jack of all trades. He deserves a little recognition. I mean really the world would be a sad place without the chocolate chip.
A little history… Chocolate chips were created in 1937 by Ruth Graves Wakefield when she chopped up some chocolate and baked the pieces in a batch of cookies. The cookies became extremely popular, and in 1939 Nestle began producing Toll House Chocolate Chips. Thank you Ruth!
