Share a Coke: Coke Floats
For whatever reason, Coke floats remind me of summer time. Maybe it’s because my sister used to make them for me when she babysat me over the summer. Maybe it’s because I grab one whenever I hit the Tuckerton Seaport. But for me, Coke Floats are a summertime treat. This summer, I have been trying to start some summer traditions with the kids and what better way than to Share a Coke Float with them, right?
Ok, they were really more for me than them, but I digress.
When we hit up Walmart to grab some summer essentials, we came across the Share a Coke display. That’s right, your name is probably on a Coke bottle somewhere. I know mine is (and the boys, too). But don’t worry if you can’t find yours. You can head to the Share a Coke website and see if your name is on a Coke bottle before heading to the store.
During our visit, there was a Share a Coke demo. Honestly, this was such a great treat for me. When you are at the store with the both kids, you sometimes need to see a smiling face with an ice cold Coca Cola just for you. Wait. Is that just me? I swear I don’t have a problem.
When new friend, Kevin, asked me to Share a Coke with him, I couldn’t say no! I mean look at his friendly face.
With my Coca Cola in hand, we now had what we needed to make our Coke Floats: Coke and vanilla ice cream. Keeping it simple!
While the boys just wanted to eat the ice cream, I thoroughly enjoyed my Coke Float. It was nice to just sit back, have a treat for myself, and enjoy a summertime tradition with my kids.
