Crashing a Cape May Wedding

A few weeks ago, I was fortunate enough to stay at the beautiful Congress Hall in Cape May, New Jersey. While I was there, I crashed a wedding. Sort of. Ok, ok we were invited to watch and check out a real Congress Hall wedding but in a way it felt like we were crashing.  After all, I looked like paparazzi.

But seriously, this was one of the most fabulous weddings I have seen. And I have seen quite a few lately.  Let’s start with the details.

The cake.

I am sure the cake tasted just as good as it looked!

The decor.

I think at one point, we all admitted to wanting to get married just to get married at Congress Hall. Who wouldn’t?

The ceremony.

And last but not least…the food.

The food is so good that even the seagulls can’t resist. While we were enjoying appetizers, one snagged a lamb chop right off the plate. That seagull ate well that night!

If I had to do it all over again, I would definitely put Congress Hall at the top of my list!

Disclosure: I was provided with a two night stay at Congress Hall to review their amenities and services. All opinions are my own.

  4. My husband & I got married there five years ago this November and I can tell you as a Bride it really was the most wonderful day. We have since taken up a second residence in Cape May and we always peek in at the weddings. Every single one is beautiful. Congress Hall is such a magical place that the simplest of touches make it even more elegant. We too would have said ‘i do’ there again!
