During the holiday season, it is so hard to catch up with friends. Some times, it’s even hard to find time for your family! Everyone is running around trying to cross off as many things on their Christmas list and attempting to make it the best Christmas ever. When you find yourself consumed with all that, who has the time to stop the hustle and bustle and fit in quality time?

If you are like me and find yourself falling into that category, why not combine the best of both worlds? Host a Girls’ Night In!

I am not talking about your typical Girls’ Night In {or Girls’ Night Out}. I am talking about night filled with wrapping those Christmas presents you have stuffed in your car trunk and a dessert party! A perfect combination any day in my book.

I am sure you have some Christmas cookies laying around that will never get eaten {do we ever eat them all?}. Invite the ladies over to help you get rid of the temptations that will crush your New Year’s resolutions and get your presents wrapped at the same time. Gab about your latest bargain and dish the dirt on everything from reality TV shows to “guess who’s pregnant…again?!”.

But don’t just stop at the cookies! Have everyone bring their favorite dessert {and wine!} for the staying in party.  You may be trying to be “good” and skip the treats, but, come on, you deserve it! After all, you braved the mall on Black Friday to get that Elmo Rock and Roll and those $5 fleeces! One {or two, or three} pieces of cake won’t hurt you!

I can’t guarantee that you will get all of your gifts wrapped {or that your jeans will button when you leave}, but you will have had a fabulous time with your friends!
