Our Elf on the Shelf has been busy so far this year! Not only does he have fun getting into a little mischief, he also likes to bring some gifts with him as well. Kevin, our Elf, must have picked up on the boys’ Minecraft craze and decided to get in the action by bringing Ethan a Gameband Minecraft™!
Of course, Ethan knew exactly what it was because he’s seen the unboxing videos all over YouTube. Me on the other hand? I didn’t have a clue what the thing was!
Apparently, the Gameband Minecraft, made by Now Computing, is all the rage this holiday season because I, I mean Kevin, was on the ball with snagging one of these early! He searched high and low for one and when he found it, he grabbed it right off the shelf. (P.S. You can find them in the Mobile Gaming department at your local Target!)
So let’s back to what exactly this thing is. If your kid is anything like mine, they are playing Minecraft everywhere and anywhere. In the car. At their cousin’s. At night in bed when they are supposed to be sleeping. It’s pretty much 24/7 over here.
Gameband Minecraft™ is the first-ever Minecraft wearable so Ethan can take his world with him everywhere he goes! The Gameband not only saves his Worlds but also backs them up onto a secure, cloud-based server. And I don’t ever have to worry about him losing it. I can just contact Now Computing and order a replacement with all his data intact.I may still not completely understand what exactly this Gameband does, but I can tell you that Ethan was pretty excited when he opened his world and settled in for some after-school Minecrafting.
He also had fun customizing his Gameband through PixelFurnace. PixelFurnance is an App that lets you customize Gameband with messages, images and animations that you create and share on the PixelFurnace site.
So tell me, do you have a Minecraft fan on your shopping list? You may want to go grab this now!
Although Now Computing is affiliated with Minecraft, please reach out directly to Now Computing if you have any feedback with Gameband!
What a neat idea to have the Elf on the Shelf bring a present – and I bet you had some very happy children over that one! Of course, I think in that photo, the elf wants to keep the Gameband for himself. It’s the perfect facial expression! #client
I agree with Michelle, having the Elf on the Shelf bring the present is a great idea and so cute! I gave my son one and he loves it! I bet Ethan is having a blast!
