What is Easy Crunchy Asian Slaw?
Asian slaw is a simple based slaw with shredded purple cabbage and carrots. Tossed with sesame oil dressing, this Asian Slaw is a quick and easy side dish for your favorite Asian dishes, like potstickers and dumplings.
How to Make Easy Crunchy Asian Slaw?
To make this easy crunchy Asian Slaw, you will need:
- 1 lb shredded veggies (I used shredded red cabbage, cabbage, and carrots)
- 1 cup cilantro (or Italian Parsley)
What I love the most about this slaw is that you can use any pre-packaged slaw you find at the store! Choose your favorite: traditional slaw, broccoli slaw, or Asian slaw! You can use any of these varieties for this Asian Slaw recipe. Or you can chop your own.
But the real star of the show is the Asian Dressing! You will need:
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
- ¼ cup rice wine vinegar
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 garlic clove, finely minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, finely chopped
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon chili flakes or chili paste (optional)
Toss slaw ingredients together in a large bowl. Add cilantro.
To make your dressing, whisk ingredients together in a small bowl. Pour dressing over slaw mixture and toss well.
Garnish with your favorite crunchy topping! I added Everything But The Bagel seasoning!
Your Crunchy Asian Slaw will keep in the fridge for 3-4 days.
Now that you have your slaw ready to go, it’s time to top with your Ling Ling Potstickers! You won’t believe how quickly you will get this dinner on the table.
