Easy Taco Dip PLUS Holiday Party Checklist

cbias disclosure

‘Tis the season! Now that we have Halloween out of the way, Thanksgiving and Christmas are going to bust their way through my door whether I am ready or not. This also means there are going to be a lot of family get togethers happening which means there’s a possibilty I will turn into a Spastic Monster. Ahem.

Don’t get me wrong. I love hosting get togethers. It’s all the prep before hand that stresses me out. The cooking. The cleaning. I am breaking out in hives already.

One of the ways that I try to keep hosting stress-fr ee and budget-friendly is by making the party simple and easy. This is not the time to try some fancy dessert or set out to hand craft all the decoration. Actually, there’s a never a good time for that. Instead, I choose recipes that I know like the back of my hand and go with decor that I already have in the house.

One of the easiest recipes is Taco Dip. Not only is this great for the parties at your home but it’s perfect when you need to bring something to a party. In about 10 minutes, you have an appetizer that looks like it took way longer and everyone will love it. I promise.

When you are at WalMart for the three hundredth time to grab more wrapping paper, don’t forget to pick up your ingredients for the dip.

Once you have all of your ingredients in the house, you’ll have a delicious appetizer ready for your guests in under 5 minutes.

I’m gonna be honest. The hardest part of this recipe is the mixing. Make sure you set your cream cheese out to soften so it’s easier to blend. If you end up with a chunky mixture, just take out a wisk and give it a few swirls.

Your cream cheese/sour cream mixture will be the base of your dip. The hardest part is now over!

Once you have your ingredients mixed, top with your shredded lettuce, tomatoes, olives, and Kraft Shreds Mexican Cheese!

Pop into the fridge until you are ready to serve. Don’t forget the chips!

Now that you have a quick and easy appetizer ready, it’s time to get ready for the party. Before every party, I mentally run through this checklist to get my house (and myself) ready. You won’t have to do that mentally because I created this FREE printable for you! (Click the image to print)

Love the checklist , I too end up running around like a madwoman before parties so I like how this lays it all out so I can check them off as I go.

    Thanks!

  3. Ooooh, I love taco dip. Best part is when someone else makes it. Ha, horrible for a food blogger to say but I NEVER make it and get so excited when it’s at a party.
