Last month, my husband and I made the commitment to start eating better and get moving. I have said (and done) this before but this time felt different. We were doing it together. We would have each other to motivate the other and keep us on track.
And it’s been working! We decided that the Weight Watchers® Freestyle™ would be the best fit for us.

Download the app. Whether you are attending meetings or just doing the program online, you need the app in your life. Gone are the days where you write everything down (although you can if that works better for you)! Through the app, you can track your progress, enter your food, search for point values when eating out, and find new recipes to try!
Daily points. The program starts by allotting you daily points for the day. The daily points will be based on your current weight, height, age, activity level, and desired weight loss. Everything you eat during the day is assigned a point that you will track in the app.
“Free” or Zero point foods. Weight Watchers has added a whole bunch of new foods to the “free” list. In fact. there are over 200 “Zero Point” foods! These foods don’t need to be tracked or measured. These foods range from fresh fruits and vegetables to lean protein like chicken and turkey!
Plan your weekly menu and prep! This is key for me. The weeks that I sit down and plan out our meals for the week, the better I do to sticking to the plan. I like to stock up on zero point foods so that I can get the most out of my meals.
When planning out your menu for the week, don’t forget about snacks and other grocery essentials, like bread.

It’s ok to indulge! Because there are so many good zero point foods on the list, you can plan out your indulgences. If you are headed to a party or celebrating a special occasion, you can easily bulk up on filling zero point foods to save your dailies for your “treat”.
Don’t forget to drink water! Drinking water is key for my success. It was hard at first and I really had to be conscious of drinking water. Now that I have been on the plan for over a month, it’s second nature! I do notice a difference on days where I skimp on my water intake.
