One of our all-time favorite summer dinners are ribs. There is something about ribs that makes everyone feel like they are having a feast!
And while they may seem like a meal that you need to be a grill master to tackle, the truth is they are super simple!
Over the years, I have learned a trick or two in getting the perfect fall off the bone ribs! That is the true test when it comes to ribs! They must fall off the bone!
Fall Off the Bone Ribs Tips
First, you have to have good ribs. I have bought ribs in the past that have been hit or miss so now I have my go-to ribs. Nothing beats Signature SELECT™ Pork Loin Back Ribs! You can get these exclusively at ACME Markets.
Next, you have to remove the membrane on the back of the ribs.If your ribs have this membrane, use a knife to gently slide under the membrane then using your fingers pull the membrane away from the bones.
After you have your ribs ready to go, you need to season them! All it takes is salt and pepper. This will get a lot of flavor into your ribs.
Once your ribs are seasoned, it’s time to cook them! Low and slow is the name of the game here. Cook your ribs at 275F for 3-4 hours covered on a baking sheet or or in a shallow pan.
When your ribs are done cooking, it’s time to slather on the barbecue sauce and place them on the grill! Remember, you aren’t grilling to cook your ribs. You only need to grill the ribs for about 5 minutes to caramelize the sauce!
Everyone will think you spent all day making these ribs when all you did was pop them in the oven!
After your bellies are full from ribs, you need a light refreshing dessert!
After you grab your ribs at ACME Markets, make sure you pick up dessert too! This Lemon Meringue Pie is light and refreshing and will also give the illusion of you spending all day in the kitchen!
To take that even a step further, I like to pop my store-bought pies in my own pie dish! Shh…I won’t tell anyone!
