THIS POST CONTAINS AFFILIATE LINKS TO OFFSET THE COSTS OF RUNNING THIS FABULOUS BLOG!
Family Game Night is such an important and fun night in our house. It is something that everyone looks forward to. We are quite the competitive bunch. We have rounded up some of our favorite family games to share with you. We would also love to know what games your family loves to play and how you have fun together!
Pie Face was a home run the moment it was opened for Christmas. The kids had heard all about it, and who could resist trying to get their parents to end up with a pie in the face. We don’t blame them for their love, as it was really fun to see them end up with a pie face!
Be prepared to laugh so hard that your belly hurts, and that’s not from the whipped cream!
Another favorite in our house is Spot It! We love how fast paced and fun this game can be. It is so addictive and what makes it even better is that the game can grow with more people that play. One and only one match can be made between two cards, so you have to have a good eye and be pretty quick to spot it.
There is even 5 individual games that you can play, they are: The Tower, The Well, Hot Potato, The Poisoned Gift, or Triplet. We love that there’s so much fun to be had in such a small compact game.
What is not to love about the classic game of Connect 4. It was a game that we loved as kids, and now we share in that love with our kids. It’s easy to play and a great way to compete against one another with the disc dropping fun.
Another favorite in our household is Guess Who. It is great for little kids and the not so little kids. Truth be told my 9 year old nephew likes to try and stoop me on this one.
I love how it helps the younger kids learn how to describe characteristics. It helps them to learn how to be specific and gain confidence to make guesses.
Frankie’s Food Truck Fiasco
We love games from Educational Insights. They are one of a kind, and have the cutest themes. We love that the kids are learning and they don’t even know it because they are having too much fun. The kids absolutely love Frankie’s Food Truck Fiasco.
Kids take turns using the fun Frankie Squeezer to fill orders while they practice identifying geometric shapes, a beginning math skill, and develop fine motor skills. It’s a simple recipe for fun, but watch out for greedy guests, slippery banana peels, and other hazards. The first to deliver a 5-course meal is the winner!
Another fun game from Educational Insights is The Sneaky, Snacky Squirrel. It is packed with learning, but non-stop fun.
Your forest friends are hungry and they need your help. Spin the spinner, squeeze the matching colored acorn with your Squirrel Squeezers and place it into your log. Be the first to fill your log with delicious acorns and you win. You could also spin “pick an acorn,” “steal an acorn,” or “lose an acorn,” so be strategic, little squirrel.
We love that this game is a life lesson about working together as a team, building a community and finding places that are important to our family.
The object of Community is to connect Home and Location Tiles as efficiently as possible using a set of Road Tiles. Each Location Tile represents an important staple in communities, such as the School, Museum, Library, Park, Spiritual Center, and Stores. Children take turns placing their tiles, but since successfully connecting all locations isn’t guaranteed without careful planning, the best results come from when all players work together as a team.
eeboo Green Market Spinner Game
We try to eat our best and love fresh fruits and vegetables. The kids even love going to buy them whether it’s at the super market or the farmer’s market. Also, one of their favorite stations to play with at The Garden State Discovery Museum is their farm stand.
It was no surprise that they love the Green Market Spinner Game by eeboo. The Green Market Puzzle Spinner Game is a fun way to play with fruits, vegetables, baked goods and more. Spin to collect products and be the first to complete your farm stand.
