Five Ways to Have a Bold Morning

Even if you don’t consider yourself a “morning person”,  you may find yourself looking forward to your morning rituals as they become a time to kick-start your day in an amazing way.

This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and The J.M. Smucker Company, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #1850Coffee #1850CoffeeatTarget http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV

Waking up can be hard to do. Maybe you had a rough night, or just didn’t get to bed on time and could have used more sleep. Maybe you just aren’t a morning person. When the morning arrives and you feel like you would rather hibernate then get out of bed, here are some ways to kick-start your day and get things started on a good foot.

Five Ways to Have a Bold Morning

Every morning starts off with a bold cup of coffee! Ah…the first cup of coffee in the morning. The cup that perks you up and gets you going. The cup that pumps some life into your body and gives you the boost to take on the day.

There’s a new coffee on the block that wants to help get your day started or simply keeping it going! 1850 Brand Coffee (available at Target) is a bold, yet smooth coffee for those who go after everything life has to offer. This new premium coffee is from the makers of Folgers and celebrates the heritage of the Folgers Coffee Company that was founded in 1850.

1850 Brand Coffee is available in four signature blends of Ground and K-Cup coffee and will also be available in 3 Ready to Drink flavors. Evenly roasted for consistent coffee flavor with less bitterness!

Play Your Favorite Upbeat Music. If you are able to, use your favorite upbeat music as an alarm. Many smartphones now have this option and it can mean the difference between a scowl and a smile as you rise for the day. Even if you are not able to wake up to your favorite music, play it as soon as you can in order to put a jump in your step. Using music you enjoy dancing to is even better as it will get the blood flowing and naturally wake you up in a way that feels positive.

Exercise! When you wake up, one of the best things you can do after a full night’s sleep is move your body. It doesn’t matter so much what you do, or how long you do it for. You can jump on a mini rebounder, skip rope, or even walk in place. As long as you move you are going to reap the benefits of it.

If you don’t have time for a long workout, make a promise to give yourself even 5 or 10 minutes. This gets your lymph moving in order to help remove toxins from your system. It also helps improve circulation, and is a great idea after being stationary the whole night.

Do One Thing on Your To-Do List right away. I am a chronic list maker. One way to keep me on track and kick start my day, I do the simplest thing first. Maybe it’s unloading or loading the dishwasher or taking out the trash. I find that when I knock one little thing off my to-do list, I am more productive throughout the day!

Get Some Quiet Time.  Giving oneself even 5 minutes of quiet time after waking up is a great way to center yourself and find balance before taking on the day. You can do any quiet activity of your choosing during this short time, depending on your preference. Some ideas include stretching, yoga, prayer, reading or even knitting. Anything that makes you feel balanced and calm will do the job.

Every bold life starts with a first bold choice. Every bold day has a morning. Back in 1850, J.A. Folger started something new and innovative to help the prospectors as they sought their fortunes. Today, there’s still no better way to get after it than with a bold-yet-smooth cup of coffee. 1850 Brand Coffee is the official coffee of bold people fueling original ideas, new commitments, and brave endeavors – ultimately becoming more than a coffee, but an ally to the hustle.

  1. I personally am not a coffee drinker, but my husband is big on it! He’s usually up and out before the rest of us are really awake, but on Saturday mornings I like to let him sleep in a bit and make him a pot in the French Press. I know once he’s got that coffee and the aroma fills the air, he’s ready to take on a weekend of family fun 🙂

  2. After the kids are off to school, and I settle in for breakfast, prayer and Bible reading – and a wonderful cup of coffee. Best time of day, where I can recharge, release any pent up stress or sorrow, and get relaxed enough to tackle my day!

  3. I have never had a cup of coffee – it smells amazing but I just don’t like it. However after reading Jessica’s post yesterday over on Babble about how coffee cuts a the % of getting a couple cancers down dramatically – I am about to change that!

  4. I’m drinking coffee right now (at almost 4pm on a Friday) Yes, it’s one of THOSE days. Can’t survive without my cuppa joe! Will definitely have to try Georgia Coffee!
