free printable traveling kids packing list

With the kids getting older and us traveling more, I needed to find ways to cut down on me running around like a mad women trying to pack for everyone. It was inevitable that I would forget something for someone. Just ask my husband the time I forget his shoes and socks.

Ethan’s old enough now that he can help out more so I though long and hard about how I could make him helping me pack easy for everyone involved. Having a simple check list with both words and pictures really help for him to visualize just what he needs to include in his suitcase.

Not only does it include both pictures and words for him, I can write in the quantity he needs to pack. Giving him this “freedom” lets him get excited for the upcoming trip and take some responsibility for himself. No more yelling at me if his favorite bed time buddy isn’t packed.

These have been so helpful, I am sharing them with you! You wouldn’t think I would leave you out, did you?

I totally need this this week as we’re getting ready for a trip up to Montreal and we’re taking the smaller of our two cars, so I can’t just shove everything in!
