I don’t know about the other boy moms out there but my two boys are obsessed with Star Wars. They play Star Wars. They watch Star Wars. Everything is centered around Star Wars. So naturally, when I asked them what kind of Valentines they wanted for their friends at school, they both replied Star Wars!
We looked at the store, pre-packaged Star War Valentines and they (ok, I) wasn’t too thrilled with them. So what does a mother do?
She makes her own!
I know. I should have just bought the store ones but once I started down this road, I just couldn’t stop myself. And I am so glad that I didn’t.
But I am getting ahead of myself.
My first hurdle for the Star Wars Valentines were finding the right graphics. I hopped on over to Etsy and found the cutest Star War characters from revidevi. In fact, they have the cutest characters for just about anything! I’m serious. Take a look.
All I needed were some funny Star Wars Valentines puns and we were all set! Now we are ready to put together our Star Wars Valentines!
How to Make Star Wars Valentines with Glow Sticks
First, gather all of your supplies! You will need:
- printed Star Wars Valentines (I printed mine at Staples but you can print them out at home as well)
- Glow Sticks
- No. 10 Envelopes
- Double-sided tape
Cut out your Star Wars Valentines. They will be long and skinny: perfect for the light sabers!
Using double-sided tape, adhere your light sabers (glow sticks) to the cards! I put them in the hands of the characters. You can cut slits into the cards and slide the glow sticks into the card. I tried this and they kept sliding out. However, you could use a little tape on the back to keep them in place.
When placing the glow sticks on your Star Wars Valentines, make sure you don’t break them!

These Star Wars Valentines fit perfectly in a No. 10 envelope. Not only will the envelopes finish off the Valentines, but they will also protect the glow sticks so they don’t accidentally snap and start glowing early.

These came out awesome!!!!!!
Hi! I love these so much and so does my little Jedi, Ryan! Any chance you have the handy printable without anything at the bottom so that I could add a similar “Your friend, Jedi Ryan” at the bottom? I was going to send them off to be printed to avoid the dreaded mass signing of Valentines the night before the school party. Thanks so much!
Love these! I’d also love them in a writable document to add”Your Friend, Jedi Noah”. Is that possible? SO cute!
These are THE cutest valentine’s day cards I’ve ever seen! I have two boys too, and they LOVE Star Wars. I can’t wait to show these to them! Thank you for making them available for free!
Thank you so much!!!
