I participated in the Mom Blog Tour at the Summer Fancy Food Show on behalf of Wendy’s Bloggers and received Saffron Road products to facilitate my review.

Are you ready for some football? I know my family is! We are in the swing of football season which means Sundays are for lounging on the couch, snacking, and watching football.

Since Sundays are for rest, I need to have quick and easy snacks and meals at the ready. It can get pretty boring to just have chips and dips every week so we like to change things up a bit.

get game day ready with saffron road

I was first introduced to Saffron Road while at the Summer Fancy Food Show. I will admit that this wasn’t a brand that I had heard of before. After looking at their products on their website, I knew they would be a home run (or maybe a touchdown) with my family.

Saffron Road offers more than 50 different products ranging from frozen entrees, appetizers, wraps, simmer sauces, broths, to snacks and desserts – all of which are inspired by cuisines native to places such as India, Thailand, Morocco, the Middle East, Northern Africa, Mexico, and Korea. Infused with authentic flavors, each product invites consumers on a journey of cultural discovery and epicurean enjoyment. All Saffron Road products are made with the highest quality ingredients, many are Certified Gluten Free, some are Non-GMO Project Verified and all are Certified Halal.

Now back to our game day menu!

Crunchy Chickpeas

saffron road-2

First up, we have Saffron Road’s Crunchy Chickpeas, made with Organic Chickpeas! They are good source good source of Protein and are great for entertaining and have a ton of uses! Use them as salad or soup toppers, make crunchy hummus, add them as a lunch box snack, or crush them and use in place of bread crumbs! The Crunchy Chickpeas are flash-fried and don’t absorb oil like a potato chip! And did I mention they were made in the USA, Non GMO Project Verified and certified Gluten Free!

Chicken and Waffles

Next, we have a fun appetizer made with Saffron Road’s Chicken Nuggets and mini-waffles. When I tried these chicken nuggets at the Summer Fancy Food Show, I was hooked! Hands down the best chicken nuggets out there. And trust me, we eat our fair share of chicken nuggets in our house so I know!

Chicken Fajitas

saffron road-4

Finally, we have our main meal, Chicken Fajitas made with a Korean Stir Fry Simmer Sauce. If you want to cut down on your time in the kitchen, the Simmer Sauces are the way to go! Saffron Road’s simmer sauces provide the convenience of creating great meals in minutes, with flavors capturing the best of world cuisine. Available in no waste, easy to use, single serving pouches because reducing our carbon footprint is important to Saffron Road. Simply cook your meat and veggies, pour in the sauce and simmer! Dinner is done in minutes and in one pan.

There you have it! Three easy game day recipes to keep you going throughout a long Sunday of football watching!
