The other night, I was invited to check out the new Graco SnugRide Click Connect 40 car seat.
Did you know toddlers are more than five times safer riding rear-facing in a car seat?
Since all infants and toddlers should ride in a Rear-Facing Car Safety Seat until they are 2 years of age or until they reach the highest weight or height allowed by their car safety seat’s manufacturer, the Click Connect 40 is the perfect option! The infant car sear grows with babies from 4 pounds up to 40 pounds, so parents can keep their children rear-facing longer, while making sure they stay comfortable as they grow.
When installing a car seat for the first time, you can get overwhelmed pretty quickly. I remember struggling to make sure the base was in securely and that the angle was correct. The Graco SnugRide Click Connect 40 helps elevate some of the overwhelming!
One of the great features on the Click Connect 40 is that there are 8 recline positions that allow for more leg room while your child grows while keeping him at the proper angle for safety. As long as you see blue on the side, the seat is at the correct angle. When it turns red, it’s time to move to another position.
Another great feature is that you don’t have to take the seat apart to move the straps. I hate unthreading the straps, moving them up a notch, and then re-threading the whole thing. You just turn the car seat over and slide the up or down! So simple.
The Click Connect 40 can be used with either the LATCH system or your seat belt – but never both! They can counteract each other. The Click Connect 40 has a lock feature. Thread the seat belt through the slots and lock them into place!
As a preemie mom, I was happy to see that the Click Connect 40 is safe for a 4 pound babyand comes with a preemie insert. I wish I would have had that for my boys!
I can not wait to install this and try it out with Ben!
The Graco SnugRide® Click Connect™ 40 – the first and only newborn to two-year infant car seat that actually grows with your baby from four pounds all the way up to 40 pounds. The car seat is designed for a parent on the go. The infant car seat can be easily removed from the base and used as a carrier when the infant is small, providing portability and convenience so you can easily move your infant in and out of the car without disturbing them.
The American Academy of Pediatrics recently made the recommendation to keep all children in rear-facing car seats until the age of 2. Graco set out to make this product so parents can keep infants rear facing longer while still keeping them comfortable.
