The Great Name Debate
Things in my life can never be easy. I knew that since we both agreed on not one but two girl names, this child would be a boy. Don’t get me wrong. I am not having any gender disappointment. It just figures.
Once the ultrasound technician delivered the good news, I looked over to the hubster and said “Let the Great Name Debate begin.” He chuckled but he knew I was right. I mean, come on, E wasn’t named until they were getting ready to wheel me into the operating room {I won last time!}.
We already told people not to even bother asking us about names for the following reasons:
- We haven’t even discussed names {unless you count the hubster throwing out ridiculous names while watching sporting events}.
- We probably won’t pick anything until that day {I kind of want to wait and see him}.
- We may keep it a surprise.
- I don’t feel like arguing about it right now.
But I do have the sense of urgency to at least start looking at names. Poor Jenni, she spent about an hour one day throwing names at me. Sadly, not one stuck out to me. I am just so picky. I like something contemporary, but traditional. Something short but that can have a nickname.
I have sat and looked at almost every baby name website that I could find. And on my list, nothing. It wasn’t this hard this last time and I wish I could my list from then.
So I am asking for your help. Throw them out there. Anything. Give me some inspiration. Maybe something will jump out at me! Or else I will have to resort to this…
