Green Tea Soda

A refreshing soda for green tea lovers that is simple to make! Your favorite fresh-fruit packs this summer beverage. Garnish with fresh mint before serving.

We all know that I love me some coffee but what you probably don’t know is that I am also a tea drinker. I love iced tea on a hot day. Or a warm tea with lemon and honey when I am not feeling well. But the one tea that I’ve never really been able to get into is green tea.

Tea sodas are pretty popular and you can grab a can a the grocery store. But why buy it when you can make it for yourself at home?!

What is Green Tea Soda

Green tea soda is a refreshing and healthy alternative to traditional soft drinks that can be enjoyed any time of day. Made with green tea, carbonated water, and a touch of sweetness, this beverage is perfect for those looking for a low-calorie, low-sugar drink that still satisfies their cravings for something fizzy and flavorful.

Health Benefits of Green Tea Soda

Green tea is known for its many health benefits, and green tea soda is no exception. Here are some of the benefits of drinking green tea soda:

Low in Calories and Sugar

Green tea soda is a great alternative to traditional soft drinks because it is low in calories and sugar. A typical 12-ounce can of soda contains around 140 calories and 39 grams of sugar, while a glass of green tea soda contains just 50-60 calories and 10-15 grams of sugar.

Rich in Antioxidants

Green tea is rich in antioxidants, which are compounds that help protect the body against damage from free radicals. Drinking green tea soda can help boost your antioxidant intake, which can have a variety of health benefits, including reducing the risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease and cancer.

May Boost Metabolism

Green tea contains a compound called catechin, which has been shown to boost metabolism and help burn fat. While drinking green tea soda may not provide the same level of catechins as drinking regular green tea, it can still provide some metabolic benefits.

May Improve Brain Function

Green tea contains a small amount of caffeine, which can help improve brain function and boost mental alertness. Drinking green tea soda may provide a similar effect, making it a great alternative to coffee or other caffeinated beverages.
