Tips for Grilling Fruit

Grilled fruits are best when you use firm fruits like pears, pineapples, and apples. These fruits will retain their original shape and taste even after grilling.

All you need to do it cut them in half and de-seed! Remember, to leave the peel on. This will help the fruit keep its shape.

Tender fruits like plums, peaches, and mangos are a little trickier! They can easily become squashy and soggy if they are overcooked.

When it comes to grilling any type of food, it’s important to start with a clean grill! Once you have your fruit prepped, oil your frill to keep the fruits from sticking. Make sure to use an oil that does not have an overpowering smell.

Season your fruit by either soaking it in a combination of your favorite spices, even liquor, or both. Sprinkle some cinnamon, add some nutmeg and douse it with rum!

You could also marinade the fruits in some water and add the spices to the water instead of the fruit.
