i heart faces ~ Holiday Traditions
This week, i heart faces is taking a break from their weekly challenges. Instead, we are all sharing our family holiday traditions through pictures. I held off on posting pictures from my family’s cookie day just for this!
Every year, my family gets together to make Italian Christmas Cookies. Not sure if this is the technical name but it’s what we call them. Everyone comes. My sister and her kids, my cousins, everyone! We spend all day rolling the cookies and then decorating. And of course, sampling our goods!
First, we squish it with our hands!
Then, when we eat too much of the raw dough, we roll it!
Then we get them ready to go into the oven.

How fun is that : ) I just wanted to let you know that not all of your pictures are showing up! I can see the first one and the last one but none of the ones in between. How did you love our big old Pennsylvania snow storm this weekend! Holy COW! 🙂
how fun!
Yummy! I do have a question: are these the same cookies that are often rolled in powdered sugar? They look the same, minus the white coating. Anyway, I love that the family gets together to make them; your kids will always have that memory, and that's awesome!
@life by the creek – I don't think they are the same thing. I think that's a different recipe. If I can get the recipe from my dad, I'll post it!
