I Need to Buy the Boy a Bubble.

Seriously, where can I find me a bubble? I need one in a size 3. E is bound and determined to get his first {of many I’m sure} stitches. This weekend alone we have had more than our fair share of close calls.

 We’ve…

 …jumped off the living room furniture and landed just centimeters from the train table.

 …jumped off our bed onto our bean bag chair and almost miss the chair entirely and end up on our dresser.

…run around on wet bleachers.

 …jump {notice a pattern} off said bleachers.

 …run into doors. {don’t ask.}

 …fallen off our chair and think it’s funny so continue to do it over and over again.

 And finally we thought it would be a good idea to wear daddy’s shoes while walking down the stairs. This resulted in us tumbling down almost the entire flight of steps. Miraculously, not one bump or scratch. I don’t know how he managed that one.

I better get the hospital on speed dial. I have a feeling we are going to be paying them a visit real soon.

  1. I know. I'm not sure how my boy has made it 6 years without and ER trips. We used to say the same about my brother. He made it to high school before needing to go to the ER.

  2. The excitement of boys. I guess this is what I have to look forward to as my little guy gets older!

  3. haha mine is very similar! I'm surprised all the time at his near misses, he's never had a hospital visit to date but I'm sure he will make up for it later!

  4. Man that boy is lucky!! We've been pretty fortunate that only one of our boys (so far) had to go get stitches.

    By the way, the way we curbed the jumping by purchasing one of those small indoor trampolines with a handle. So whenever the boys feel the need to jump and can't go outside…they head to their jumpy place…aka trampoline!

  5. My 2-year-old bruises like a peach (as does his mother) and is always covered in bumps, scrapes, etc. The good news is that we have "trained" him to shake it off – not like my neurotic parents! So falling down on his head rarely leads to much fanfare! 😉

  6. I know the feeling. I take care of a 4 year old who has a huge head and he's falling on it ALL the time. Right now, he has a HUGE goose egg on the forehead, right in the middle. He was riding his bike (helmet on!) and went around a curve too fast trying to catch up with his big sister. I still can't figure out how he did it!
