Don’t Wait for the Truck, Make an #IceCreamRun to Walgreens!

If you have been following me on social media the past few weeks, you know I have been dealing with a bout of vertigo. This means I have been out of commission for almost this entire time. Which means my boys (all three of them) have been fending for themselves while I attempt to get better.

This past weekend, they took a little road trip without me. We didn’t want the long car ride to trigger the vertigo again. While it was nice to have the house to myself for a few days, I missed them almost as soon as the car pulled away. I soon began thinking about what I could do for them when they returned.

I planned a big dinner complete with an ice cream dessert. I knew that would be a great way to welcome them home and cram some family time in before bedtime.

I’m still not feeling 100% so I wanted to make a quick trip out to the store. I needed to pick up a few personal things so I decided to hit the local Walgreens. Yes, I went to Walgreens to grab some ice cream.  Shopping at Walgreens is super convenient so you don’t have to make that grocery store stop or wait around for the ice cream truck.

And it was all worth it. I had dinner waiting for them when they got home and surprised them with some Klondike bars afterwards!

Growing up, my grandfather always had Klondike Bars in the freezer. They were always there for an after dinner treat. I honestly couldn’t tell you the last time I had a Klondike Bar let alone purchase them. But when I saw them in the Walgreen’s freezer, I just had to grab them!

A certain little someone took to them right away! What can I say, he gets it from me!
