#DiscoverIssuu and the #RealMomGiftGuide

This post is sponsored by Girls’ Lunch Out Network Issuu Blogger Campaign. They sponsored this promotion of Issuu but not the Real Mom Media Holiday Gift Guide. All opinions about Issuu are my own.

By now, you have seen a ton of bloggers publishing their Holiday Gift Guides all over the blogosphere. And I’m one of them! I have worked months on the Real Mom Media Holiday Gift Guide. After putting a lot of hard work into a publication like our gift guide, the last thing you want to do is not get it seen.

We have been using for the past 3 years to share the Real Mom Holiday Gift Guide and we couldn’t be happier with the platform!

Isn’t it so pretty?

One of the reasons we use Issuu for our Holiday Gift Guide is so that we don’t have to write a huge post or multiple posts. Our guide is housed nicely in PDF that can be seen just about anywhere. You can even pull it up on your phone while you are doing your holiday shopping. The formatting is very user friendly with arrows for easy flipping. Flipping the pages is a lot easier than scrolling through a huge long post!

So what exactly is Issuu?

issuu_logo-700-

Serving over 7 billion page views across 15 million publications to more that 80 million unique monthly visitors, is the fastest-growing digital publishing platform in the world and is rapidly becoming the place readers go to discover new content and publishers use to find a worldwide audience. Publishers can use the Issuu platform to upload visually rich content, and gain granular insight on reader characteristics and preferences and access to new business models. Issuu was founded in Copenhagen, Denmark and is financially backed by Sunstone Capital.

It’s like Pinterest for magazines – so cool!

Some of the features I like the best about Issuu are

  • Detailed stats and analytics.
  • The ability to share to facebook, twitter and all major social sites.
  • Embed widget, lets you embed great magazines right on your site {like I did up there!}.
  • Robust SEO.
