#JBFPhillySpring Sale Shopping Haul
If you follow me on Instagram {and if you aren’t, you should be!}, then you would know that I spent a good chunk of my day yesterday at the Just Between Friends – Western Mainline sale. This is one of the largest consignment sales in our area! They had over 900+ cosigners for this sale alone. So you know what that means…there was a ton of stuff to choose from!
When you walk into a huge convention hall full of stuff, you can be overwhelmed! That’s why I found my friend, Steph of Mamma Bear’s World, and we braved the 5T racks together. We had a system: grab what you think you need and sort later. I have to admit, my purge pile wasn’t that big! But I couldn’t help it! There were so many great deals that I just couldn’t say no.
So what did I end up getting? Oh, you know, just most of Ethan’s summer wardrobe!
In that pile are 12 pairs of athletic shorts, 4 pairs of cargo shorts, 4 plain t-shirts, 3 polos, 2 jeans, and a pair of khakis. Ethan approved all of the clothes I chose. However, I did forget one thing: a belt! He asked where his belts were!
I didn’t just stop at clothes. I couldn’t. When I dropped Ben off that morning, I got the super sad face. He didn’t want me to leave. I felt awful. I couldn’t stop seeing that face in my mind {thanks mom guilt!}, especially when I saw this awesome Elmo chair. I knew he’d love it!
But my biggest deals? Yes dealS, plural.
This wooden bin in the train area immediately caught my eye. Was it just a wooden bin? Was there anything in it? Yes, yes there was! It was full of wooden tracks and trains! I know. I know. “You already have enough train stuff.” But for only $8, how do you pass that up? Ethan has already made a huge track complete with turntable and windmill in our living room. The best $8 I’ve spent!
The other deal? A Leapster L-max. With 14 games. For $12! I’ve been wanting to get Ethan a Leapster for a while now but kept putting it off for the price. Well, I couldn’t pass up that price! He went between playing trains and the Leapster yesterday afternoon.
I know what you are probably wondering. What was the damage?
Are you ready?
$112!
$112 for a summer wardrobe, a bin of trains, a Leapster and an Elmo chair! I think I did pretty well!
Amazing!! I wish there was a consignment sale like this near me!
I really need to go to one of these. They have them in Denver often. Something on my TO DO list for sure! Great scores! well done!
I just love JBF – I love that you are into it too. You found some great deals, but you sure did buy less than me…! I can’t help myself!
Wow, what a great haul. I am so bummed to miss it this year – but hopefully next year!!!
I am HUGELY jealous of that bin of Thomas trains!!!
Thanks so much for this timely post! I just submitted all my items to our local sale! I always consign stuff but never shop them! I just use my earnings each season to buy the next seasons clothes, knowing I will consign! However, this time I got a pre-sale pass for tonight since I have so many items! Now I can go check out the sales and prices, and peruse to see if I can find a few things! Thanks for the tips!
Wow, that’s an amazing haul! I think I might have to head on over there this weekend.
Wow, I saw several items in you photographs that I want for my children! I have to go check this place out.
You scored big! I LOVE that Elmo chair and that box of trains was AWESOME! I didn’t see the Leapster LMAX, but the boys are going to love it!
