Keeping Kids Active with LeapFrog LeapBands

leapband disclosure

The crisp fall weather is slowly making it’s comeback. Add in that it’s getting darker sooner and our outdoor time is getting limited. But having two boys means that there’s still a ton of energy that needs to work it’s way out. Sure, they move around in school, but when they come up, they are still so wound up!

Did you know that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services recommends that kids have 60 minutes of daily physical activity? In the cooler months, this could be a real challenge! Or, it used to be a challenge. Thanks to LeapFrog LeapBands there is no excuse not to move around.

LeapBand makes physical activity so much fun for kids, promoting an active lifestyle and healthy habits. The LeapBand tracks their activity in return for points and to help take care of a virtual pet! So not only does the LeapBand keep them active, it also helps teach them about responsibility.

The LeapBand is fully customizable, water resistant and comes in green, blue and pink. With a rechargeable battery, the kids can stay active all winter long.

This past weekend, we invited our friends over to test out our new LeapBands for Fit Made Fun Day! The kids loved listening to the instructions and acting out the commands. They were even competing to see who could get the most steps in.

All that running around works up an appetite and I had the perfect snack ready for them, Clif Kid Z Bar Protein.

Clif Kid Z Bar offers a wide variety of bars, including the Clif Kid Protein Bars. These are available in Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Peanut Butter and Chocolate Mint. I knew the Chocolate chip would be a hit with my boys but I was surprised that Chocolate Mint was also a crowd favorite.leapband-2

Every day since our Fit Made Fun Party, the boys have been taking care of their pet while burning off their extra energy. That’s a total win in my book!

How do you keep your kids active in the cooler months?
