Let the Shopping Begin!

I promised the hubster that I wouldn’t do any shopping for the baby until after we found out the sex. Well now that we know, I am itching to buy something! Since we are having another boy, we are pretty set on clothes {and I am dying to go through those boxes and see what exactly we have}. Fortunately, there isn’t much that we need to buy. But I feel like we do have to get some new things {enter the 2nd Child Syndrome, more on this later}.

First off, we need a double stroller. E is getting to the point were he doesn’t really like being in the stroller that much but I still want the option of strapping him down letting him sit when needed. We are pretty much decided on getting a Sit and Stand. I love that it comes with 2 seats and that the back one can be removed and turned into a bench. Perfect for a 3 year old {omg, yes he will be 3 by then!}!

As for our old stroller, the plan is to wait for the BRU trade-in event {please tell me they are doing this again this year} and trade it in for the Snap and Go. I really wanted to get this with E but just never did. I have also seen them at the local consignment shop and might go that route.

I have been told numerous time by Jenni that I need to get the Rock ‘n Play Sleeper. We have a bassinet from E {that was hand me down} and it was ok. But I think this will work better. It’s portable so we can take it with us and it’s light. Easy to bring from downstairs to upstairs and vice versa.

Next, we definitely need to get a new car seat for E. Like he needed a new one a long time ago {don’t get me wrong, he is safe, I just hate the car seat}. We have been looking around and finally decided to go with a 3-in-1 so that we aren’t buying another car seat in a year or so.

There are some other things on my list that are just fun things. Things that weren’t around when I had E {seriously some pretty cool stuff has come out in the past 3 years!}.

I know I need a new diaper bag but I have no idea where to even start. I have about 5 from E and like 2 of them. But I know they won’t be big enough for the crap two kids will require. We have a backpack that we pretty much use exclusively {the hubster doesn’t mind wearing it} and Skip*Hop that clips nicely on the stroller. This just may be harder than picking out a name!

There is a bunch of little things that we need {like a new boppy and bottles} but other than that I think we might be set. Or are we? What am I missing? What were your must-haves?
