March for Babies

Yesterday, we attended the official Team Captain Kick-off Party for the March for Babies. This year, the event was held on the Philadelphia Belle. E was very excited about going on a big boat in the “ocean.”

Unfortunately, the Coast Guard said it was too windy and the water was too choppy to cruise. That it didn’t stop E from having a great time.

While there, I ran into a couple I haven’t seen since High School. It was great to catch up, meet their adorable son, and help each other with fundraising ideas.

The food was great! They hosted a brunch menu and we were all satisfied afterwards. They even had a fondue bar! This Momma was happy! Fruits, pretzels, cake, marshmallows…it was very hard to stop going back up two or three {or four or five} times.

After having our brunch, we went outside on the decks to explore the boat. E loved running around and looking at all the big buildings and watch the other boats go by.

We all had a great time! I picked up some new ideas for fundraising and got to hear some amazing stories from other families who touched by the March of Dimes.

And here is where you come in. You too can make a difference in a family’s life. Your donation to the March of Dimes  helps give hope to the more than half a million babies born too soon each year. The money we raise supports programs in our community that help moms have healthy, full-term pregnancies. And it funds research to find answers to the problems that threaten our babies.

Ethan thanks you!
