I am always looking for quick and easy treats to make for the kids, especially during the holidays. My kids have some what of a sweet tooth and are always asking for dessert.
These marshmallow puffs are an easy way to satisfy anyone’s sweet tooth and don’t take a lot of time to make.
You can switch up this recipe to be seasonal or for your favorite flavors. Swap out the chunky peanut butter for crushed candy canes for the holidays!
When you are doing your holiday baking, you can whip up a few batches of these marshmallow puffs to help round out your cookie tray!
TO MAKE THESE MARSHMALLOW PUFFS, YOU’LL NEED:
- 9 inch square pan
- wax paper or parchment paper
- 36 large marshmallows
- 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chunky peanut butter
- 2 tbsp. butter
HOW TO MAKE MARSHMALLOW PUFFS
Line a 9-inch square pan with wax paper or parchment paper. Arrange the marshmallows in the pan.
In the microwave, melt the chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Stir until smooth. Pour and spread over the marshmallows.
Chill completely. Cut into 1 1/2 inch squares.
Tips for Making Marshmallow Puffs
- Don’t like chunky peanut butter? That’s ok! You can use smooth peanut butter as well.
- Keep an eye on your chocolate when melting! If you over heat it, it will seize up and not be smooth.
- Skip the butter and use coconut oil instead.
