Memory Monday
Yosemite National Park, California – August 2004
I wasn’t all to excited to go to Yosemite. I am not an outdoorsy type of girl. I was actually dreading it. I mean, who wants to look at a bunch of rocks and trees while walking miles and miles and sweating? Not me!
We were walking the mile track down to the Sequoia Grove. I’ve heard that these are big trees and how massive they are and yada yada yada. Seeing the trees around me, I wasn’t all the impressed. That was until I turned a corner. I believe the words “Holy sh!t” escaped my mouth. I could not believe how huge these trees words. Well my tune changed once I saw those trees. I was so amazed at what I was seeing. I just couldn’t stop thinking about how old those trees were.
…me, hubster, and bils standing like dorks at the yosemite sign…
…on the way into the park…
…bridal veil fails…
…half dome…
…giant tree..
…that’s one huge tree. that’s my bil sitting on top of it…
Next week’s California adventure will be Pigeon Point Lighthouse.
