Recently, I have been trying to get out of my yoga pants and t-shirt phase. It’s so easy to fall into that routine of being comfy but I have noticed that when I get up, shower, and actually get dressed, I am more productive. Now, you won’t see me running around the house in heels, pearls, and apron. I’m not taking it that far. But I am updating my wardrobe a little.

So when the people at Lindsay Phillips offered to send me a pair of her Snap Shoe Flats and this amazing scarf, who was I to turn that down? I knew they would add a little something to my style. They arrived on my doorstep at the perfect time. I had a Girls’ Night Out and thought they would be perfect to spruce up my outfit.

GUESS ? earrings / Purple shawl / Liz Ballet Flat Black Linen / Adrielle Snap / Stacey Snap / Mara Snap / Xhilaration® Juniors Textured Pullover : Target

The shoes? They are the most comfortable flats I have ever worn! I felt like I was wearing slippers. And the scarf? Every time, I wear it I get compliments! It seriously goes with anything.
I didn’t just stop with the shoes and the scarf. Last Friday was a particularly bad day here {think drawing on walls, trashing the playroom, ordering movies OnDemand and trying to make mom’s head explode}. As soon as my husband came home, I bolted out the door. I was on a mission. I needed some retail therapy!
I had a baby shower to attend the next day and had the perfect outfit in my head {thanks Pinterest!}.

Merona® Women’s Dobby Dot Shirt – Chambray / H&M skinny fit jeans, $30 / Wide shoes / Blu Bijoux gold jewelry / Gold jewelry

I am in love with this outfit! It’s super comfy and it looks put together. It lasted a four hour car ride and well into the night. And those boots right there? I got them for $12! $12?! I wore them all day Sunday and my feet didn’t hurt at all. I also picked up something  that always can brighten my mood. A new purse!  I love totes and I love Nine West. When I spotted this beauty, it was perfect! The color is perfect for the summer and it’s big enough to fit all of my stuff and diapers! It was also only $19 at Ross. Score!
I am slowly reinventing my Mom Style and having a lot of fun doing it!

How do you spruce up your Mom Style?

I was not financially compensated for this post. I received a sample for review purposes. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience.

I LOVE those black flats! The flower is adorable! and that scarf, and that black shirt, and that bubble necklace. 🙂 Great picks!

Thanks! The black flats go with everything. I love that you can buy additional embellishments and snap them on an off to match your outfits!

Stop the truck! Both of those outfits are SO great. I know you looked lovely at the Girls Night Out and also the baby shower. I am afraid if I tried to put skinny jeans on, they might never come off. The flats are ADORABLE! I am always on the lookout for comfortable shoes. So cute.
Hope you have a happy weekend friend. Wear your pretty scarf and your beautiful boots, but most of all, wear your smile! : )
    Love, Becky

I used to be afraid of skinnies but I practically live in them now! They really do help slim you by taking some bulge away. The key is to find ones that fit well! I love NY&Co. They aren’t super low so you can control the muffin top!

Love that purse from Ross…they have great deals! I love your accessories. I wear a LOT of black with jeans so fun colorful accessories are a must.

I have been really trying to add some color to my basics. It really helps brighten my mood!

I love when I find comfortable clothes I can work in at home and still look fabulous!

It’s like hitting the jackpot isn’t it?

I need medium heel heights, so boots are often perfect for me. The sadness begins when the weather is in between boots and pretty flips flops (with a heel, of course!) I also need clothes to be both comfy and stylish, and affordable, so I’m hunt high & low kind of gal 🙂

Those boots are the perfect heel height! They give me enough height {because let’s face it, I’m super short} but I don’t feel like I’m walking on stilts!

Oh cool, I’m super short too – 5 foot nothin’! My kids are only a foot behind me at age 7 & 10, lol…

The yoga pants stage is in need of eviction at my house too! I love those flats! Are they worth the money? I don’t mind investing if they will be worth it!

They really are! They are stylish but feel like bedroom slippers!

I know EXACTLY what you’re talking about. Having my kids at home for school has turned me into the queen of cute jammy pants. I feel like I’m at that point too where I really need to get dressed to feel more productive. That stuff is cute, and I love ballet flats – they’re so versatile.

I’m all about the maxi skirt. Just as comfortable as yoga pants but 10 times dressier. 😉

Those flats and that scarf were fantastic!! Perfect for a mom’s night out! I am in love with earrings these days and fun necklaces, but flats will always be on my feet:)
