Need More Time | your three words
I have been going crazy all week. I feel like I have had little time to breathe rather than find time to post. So what’s been going on?
1. The hubster left Monday for a three trip to Phoenix {I swear I wasn’t jealous, yeah right}. That left me no time to myself. I’m lucky I found time to shower! I don’t know how single parents do it. They are my heroes!
2. Benny’s baptism is Sunday which means, since I waited until the last minute, I am trying to pull off an awesome party. I have been ordering food and making desserts all week!
3. Don’t make 40 oreo truffles three days before your party. They will taunt you every time you open the fridge.
4. Benny is teething. Hard. Poor thing is pitiful. I feel so bad for him. I tried tylonel, motrin, teething rings, frozen washcloth, ice cube in mesh feeder, teething tablets, and oragel. Nothing soothes him. HELP. ME.
5. E is hard core talking back. Everything I say, he has a comment for. Just like his father. It is so frustrating. Sometimes I ignore and not feed into it. Sometimes I can’t take it anymore and I may lose my cool. Sometimes I end up apologizing for losing my temper. I’m such a softy.
6. Tonight, I am going to the Brad Paisely concert. Who? Oh good, I am not the only one who doesn’t know he is. One of my great sponsors, Chevy, provided four tickets for me to go to the show. And seeing that I desparately need a night out, I jumped on it! I know I will have a good time. How could I not. My good friend, Kelly, is coming with me!
7. *Personal plug alert* I am the official photographer for the Philly Parent Circle Celebration! {woohoo!} I am offering mini-sessions at the Celebration, held on October 1st at SMITH. I have 3 spots left so if you are interested, hurry!
8. If you follow me on Twitter {@mrsgloves} or on my FaceBook page {what you dont? what’s your problem?!}, you know that I making the huge leap over to WordPress. Thankfully, the good people over at Bloggity Blah are doing all the hard work. Be prepared for a whole new A Grande Life. You won’t be disappointed!
Thank you all for sticking through this little dry spell! I promise I will be back to my regularly scheduled blogging soon!
Here’s a quick picture of the boys to hold you over!
oh my gosh!! have so much fun! can't lie, a little jealous. i heart brad paisley, haven't seen him live but have heard great things. if you like country in the least bit i am sure you will walk away a fan! ENJOY!!!!
Your bubbas are so handsome, good luck with the party prep, teething, and talking back.
#5…we have been having this same problem and it is so hard to ignore it!
#7…is fantastic!!!
I don't know how single parents do it either…if I were to ever think 'I should leave my husband' I will just remember what it's like when he's on business trips.
Ok Lurker, who loves your Blog, Dont judge this but my daughter went to a gastro once for reflux and he told me this good old trick, dip the paci in powdered sugar see what happens. It may or may not help with teething…and I may or may not keep a ziplock freezer bag of powdered sugar in my glove compartment. Good luck!
I know who he is! 🙂 But I like country – hope you're enjoying it!
I think we all go through spells, I've got nothing on teething; when Lexie doesn't we haven't figured out anything yet other than nursing but then she started bitting….
good luck this weekend!
I have NO idea how single parents do it either. It truly amazes me. Love that sweet little scrunched up face.
I know who he is but I am NOT a country fan! Doesn't matter though, a night out is a night out. Hope you had a great time!
